Goodbye

Well, as always, this painting is inspired by my own feelings about things that happens to me.

I used ps7 to compose the painting and add base colour. Then moved into painter8 to do the rest of the painting of the main character. The background is painted with ps7 using self-made custom brushes. All together, the painting would have taken me few days, but as I am busy enjoying holidays, it took me almost 2 month to completely finish.

I want to move into a more mature style...it's about time i grow up =P.

Started out as something completely different, but gradually evolved into this. The background gave me much toil, but I quite like it.

Winter sea

Snow flakes of enchantered dream silently falls
And slowly freezes the sea of winter into a scene from silvery fairytales

That girl deep in sleep on the beach...
Looks as though the Snow White surrounded by forever blooming sea chrisamthemum

Waves clash one after another like the petals of water lily
Let's halt this moment into everlasting hope
Hoping for the warmth of spring, melting the ice and snow of the winter sea

Just before the complete evanescence of the rainbow from fairytales
Snow White puts on her holy wedding veil

Transform

After the feathered wings of my dreams are torn by the reality and time; I built myself a pair of metal wings, and will transform to a stronger person inside.

Breeze

Hot, it's so very hot. While the rest of the world is covered with snow in the spirit of white christmas. Here in Adelaide, it is bathed in a burning 36 degrees heat and sunshine, even the beach is scorching...I yearn for the soft cool breeze of spring.
In this painting, I try to convey the feeling of joy and excitment experienced when one is able to enjoy the great outdoors in a beautiful weather. It's just a simple concept with a pure sentiment.

One Thousand Years

This is my first tablet drawn digital art! *feels accomplished*
Took me forever to do this piece, espcially her face and the palace/castle. This palace is based on a real palace ruins in China.
Tablet: wacom graphire (can't afford Intus yet)
and Photoshop 7.0
Time: for a long long time

2007 edit: changed the colours a little. The previous white/pink was too bright even for my eyes.
